Teen singer BoA has been selected as a recipient of this year's "Best Jewelry Wearer Awards" along with 29-year-old actress Koyuki and other famous figures.
The awards were presented as part of the 17th International Jewelry Tokyo 2006 show being held at Tokyo's Big Sight exhibition venue.
Past winners of the awards have included Nanako Matsushima, Kyoko Fukada and Takako Uehara.
This year, winners besides 19-year-old BoA and Koyuki included actresses Eri Fukatsu, Mao Daichi and Kaoru Yachigusa, and Environment Minister Yuriko Koike. Professional baseball player Kazuhiro Kiyohara took the award in the male category.
BoA, who appeared in a sexy dress, said, "Since I'm attending a jewelry show today I thought I'd try to make myself shine and went all out for it, but I went a bit too far. I'm still in my teens, so even if I show all of this, people will still say, 'That looks cute.'"
Koyuki showed off her legs with a slit dress, while Koike promoted cloth wrapping as part of the Mottainai environmental campaign. Source: Posted by:jewelnet |
